Product Description

K-type thermocouples are constructed from two dissimilar metal alloys: Chromel (positive leg) and Alumel (negative leg). Chromel consists of 90% nickel and 10% chromium, while Alumel is made up of 95% nickel, 2% manganese, 2% aluminum, and 1% silicon. The Chromel is non-magnetic, and Alumel is magnetic, which helps in identifying the polarity of the thermocouple
