A Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) is a temperature sensor that utilizes the change in electrical resistance of a material with temperature. Commonly, RTDs are made from metals like platinum, nickel, or copper, with platinum RTDs (identified with a prefix "Pt" followed by a number indicating the resistance at 0°C, such as Pt100) being the most common and accurate type for industrial applic.
A thermocouple is a type of temperature sensor that consists of two different metals joined together at one end. When the junction of these two metals is heated or cooled, a voltage is produced that can be correlated to the temperature.
RTDs are known for their accuracy and stability within a specific temperature range, while thermocouples offer a broader temperature measurement range and are more durable but with lower accuracy and higher drift over time.
Feature
1.Fast response speed
2.Wide temperature measurement range
3.Diverse type selection
